Historic order for WhiteWater in China

Zhengzhou Yinji Kaifeng Waterpark’s purchase of C$29m (US$25.8m, €20.3m, £16.1m) worth of WhiteWater products is the largest single order in waterpark history, according to the Canadian manufacturer.

Construction work at Yinji Dynasty’s park in Henan, China, is expected to be completed in summer 2015. When opened, it will be the country’s largest waterpark and will feature indoor and outdoor sections.

WhiteWater said park guests can expect to see nine separate waterslide complexes, nearly 50 waterslides, three custom themed ‘AquaPlay’ structures, a ‘Shoot the Chute’ water ride, three wave pools, two types of ‘Wave Rivers’ and a ‘FlowRider Double’.

“This deal demonstrates how WhiteWater doesn’t just provide waterslides. We deliver a complete customer experience,” said Phil Zhong, regional vice president of operations in Asia. “With this client, we designed an entire park, with engineering services, construction management and after sales service and maintenance.”

The park is anticipating a peak day capacity of 15,000 guests indoors and 32,000 outdoors.
